It isn’t too late to take a staycation

Published on January 6th, 2012

Many caravan owners are storing their prized possession away for the winter, but this doesn’t mean that you have to be one of them. The New Year is upon us, and what better way to welcome 2012 in style than with a staycation? The UK boasts a number of gems – such as the beautiful coastline and beaches of Devon, and the awe-inspiring countryside of the Cotswolds – that are waiting to be explored.

When planning your tip, you must ensure that you have sufficient Simple Caravan Insurance in place to protect your investment. Failure to do so could result in you unexpectedly forking out significant amounts of cash down the line, if your caravan gets damaged.

You should also have your caravan serviced before you set off, and any maintenance issues dealt with. For example, you should have the quality of the tow bar and tyres checked out in advance of your departure, and lubricate or replace where necessary. You should also make sure that all rear lights on your caravan are in working order.

When these basics are covered, you should then look to fully equip your caravan so you can get the most out of your staycation and have your own little comfortable home, no matter where you are in the country.
